The “Tucan” – a dorm-style cabin built of brick with a roof made of old handmade clay tiles, has been fully renovated to allow for more interior space, including an additional full bath. The location is high on the hill next to a stream where the sound of the water will lull you to sleep. The interior boasts a traditional “Caña de Castilla” ceiling design using a renewable resource harvested locally from a neighboring farm -similar to bamboo. The floors are of a native “coyote” wood. A set of three bunk beds with flannel sheets and warm blankets can sleep 6 people comfortably. A large glass sliding door opens up to a wide porch with rockers that has been added on to take advantage of the westerly views, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the fresh mountain air and spectacular sunsets.
